Guess What? And Just Like That S3 Is Coming (Even If You Didn’t Ask For It)
We can hear all those hate-watchers breathing heavily now…
Well, if that's not the news of the day, we don't know what is! One of the most hated shows on Reddit has officially been renewed for another season. And Just Like That, which is a spin-off series of the iconic 90's show Sex and the City, turned out to be a success after all.
The show follows three of the original show's main characters, Miranda, Charlotte and, of course, Carrie, as they continue their lives in their 50s. The show premiered in late 2021 and caused quite a stir among Sex and the City fans.
Some of them were genuinely excited to see their beloved characters back on screen, sharing a new story. But the rest of the fandom was deeply offended by the personality changes the main characters went through. It seems that fans just didn't want to see them age.
But that's not the only reason why fans hated the show. The sequel added some controversial characters to the story, and fans felt that they changed the story for the worse.
“I don’t understand why. The original was fun, very edgy at the time, and now it kind of serves as this 90’s time capsule that can still be really enjoyable. But And Just Like That is borderline joyless, I can’t believe it’s getting a 3rd season,” Redditor Titan7771 said.
Season 1 may have divided the fandom, but season 2 made people continue hate-watching the show. Most of the fans just claimed that no matter how bad the narrative was and how awful the characters turned out to be, they were still curious how the story would end.
Well, maybe we needed that season 3 after all? But before that, don’t forget to catch the final episode of season 2 on MAX to finally see that Kim Cattrall cameo.
