Guardians of The Galaxy 3: Fan Theory Seems to Reveal Who'll Die This Time
The first two Guardians of The Galaxy movies left fans crying their eyes out over the deaths of Groot and Yondu. Who will it be this time? It looks like fans have the answer.
The Guardians of the Galaxy films have taught audiences to mentally prepare for the finale, as one of the positive characters dies at the end of each movie.
At the end of the first one, Groot sacrificed himself to save his friends, dying of a spaceship crash.
The end of the second film was even more heartbreaking, as Yondu finally fulfilled his parental mission and gave the breathing device to Quill, realizing that he himself would not survive.
It all seems to be a pattern prepared in advance, and if it is, then it should continue in the third movie. And fans have found confirmation of this.
There is a popular fan belief that the title of each movie symbolizes the color of the character who dies in each one.
If you carefully examine inscriptions with the name of the movie, you will notice that the first one is colored brown, and not just any kind of brown, but one that matches the shade of Groot's bark.
The same goes for the title of the second movie – it's bright turquoise with red lettering below to match Yondu's skin color and mohawk.
And now let's move on to the most important thing, the third inscription. Its color is muted gray, and although the text below is yellow, the symbols around it are red.
There is only one hero in Guardians of the Galaxy with these stats, and that is Drax. The only thing that casts doubt on this theory is the yellow inscription, but perhaps the filmmakers will add a new yellow detail to Drax in the new installment.
Further supporting this theory is the fact that Dave Bautista has been vocal about wanting to retire from the role of Drax after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
And while there is a possibility that his character's fate will not end with the actor's departure, it would be most logical to kill off Drax with Batista's exit, sad as it may be.
And fans will soon be able to find out if they have solved the mystery of the logo – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on May 5.
