And the fans have to agree.

Summary:

  • Being the longest-running medical procedural drama on U.S. television, Grey’s Anatomy is airing its 20th season.
  • As a part of the celebration, the show will feature a comeback of the fan-favorite character Arizona Robbins, portrayed by Jessica Capshaw.
  • Turns out, it’s not only the fans who were mesmerized by the star’s return, but also some of the newest additions to Grey’s Anatomy’s cast, like Niko Terho.

There is no way to deny that Grey's Anatomy's success in the medical drama field is unmatched by either the cable networks or the streaming services. The show has been alive and popular for 20 years now, and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon.

Even with the departure of star Ellen Pompeo, Shondaland has managed to reboot the storyline, placing more emphasis on the newcomers of season 19 and the newest group of interns that Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital has opened its doors to.

The two very different parts of Grey's Anatomy's history are about to intersect in episode 4 of the 20th season titled Baby Can I Hold You, as Dr. Arizona Robbins returns to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to share her expertise and work on a very complex pediatric case. The interns, on the other hand, will have to relive their worst mistakes yet.

Naturally, the return of a legend that Arizona Robbins has been to many Grey's fans was met with a lot of enthusiasm from the fandom, eager to see how she has changed and to find out how her life with another character, Callie Torres, has been going in New York. But it wasn't just the viewers who were excited to welcome Jessica Capshaw back to the set.

When Niko Terho, who plays Lucas Adams, spoke to The Wrap about all the hardships his character faces this season, he couldn't help but mention Capshaw's comeback:

“She’s an icon in the ‘Grey’s’ family, so it’s very much like someone coming home. She was super kind and willing to give us advice. We’re like the new members of the family, so we can feel the presence and the history that’s been there,” the actor shared.

Grey’s Anatomy 20th Anniversary

Even though there wasn't a special episode dedicated to Grey's Anatomy's anniversary, the entire 20th season pays tribute to the show's diversity of storylines and characters.

And even though Jessica Capshaw will only be in one episode, many fans will hopefully get the closure they always needed from her story.
