Grey's Anatomy New Interns Ranked From Most To Least Promising
They better not kill them all off too soon.
As many Grey's Anatomy fans agree, the new interns introduced in season 19 of the show could either ruin all chances for the show to continue or open a path for a fresh start and ensure a few more seasons ahead.
While the show has already been renewed for its 20th anniversary season, not everyone is convinced that the new characters will be able to carry on the drama the way their predecessors did.
Not all of them seem to be equally interesting to the audience. Another discussion about the new interns broke down on a fan subreddit when someone asked to pick a favorite intern.
Of course, there were some mixed opinions on the topic, but the fans had a pretty clear idea of who was the most and least favorite of the group.
5. Benson "Blue" Kwan
Despite being portrayed by Harry Shum Jr, who has a strong fan base from both Glee and Shadowhunters, Blue just doesn't sit right with the fans.
He's competitive, can't take a loss, and can be quite mean at times.
Some fans speculate that he's meant to be Alex Karev from the original intern set, but it just hasn't worked out yet.
4. Lucas Adams
Being related to fan favorite Derek Shepherd did not help Lucas gain any more fans.
He still has a few chances to open up in season 20, but fans are worried about him being compared to his aunt Amelia Shepherd, as they are both mentioned as "the screw-up of the family."
It would be nice to see him develop away from his family and grow into his own character a little more.
3. Jules Millin
There is something so charming about Jules that keeps her higher in the ratings, but still not quite alive enough to be at the top.
Coming from a troubled background, Jules came to Grey Sloan to prove herself but quickly got caught up in a romantic drama with one of the mentors, Atticus Lincoln.
Fans are already excited about her, but expect more character development in the future.
2. Simone Griffith
Since viewers think of Simone as another Meredith Grey in the making, it's no wonder she's so high in the ratings.
She's everything you want in a lead character: funny, smart, witty, and has a complicated family background to balance out her story.
It's safe to say that Grey's Anatomy favors her story a bit more by giving her a bit more screen time, but fans don't mind that as long as it's interesting to watch.
1. Mika Yasuda
If we compare Simone to Meredith with a slight benefit of the doubt, there's no doubt about Mika and Cristina's similarities.
She's extremely confident, sometimes a little quick to judge, and hard to connect with.
The fans seem to be rooting for her just like they did for Cristina, so this legacy is definitely not a burden, but a great privilege to have.
