It is especially nice to see the cast and crew excited about the possibility of returning. Just like Matt Bomer, who recently teased the revival of White Collar, Jennifer Love Hewitt is ready to take on her own iconic role from 2000s television.
Will Ghost Whisperer Come Back?
The show was a rare supernatural hit that belonged to The CW in spirit (no pun intended) but was produced by CBS. Jennifer Love Hewitt's lovely and selfless Melinda Gordon stole many hearts during the show's run, so there is no doubt that viewers would be happy to see her back.
Plus, the show's premise of Melinda dealing with one lost soul per episode would have allowed for many more wonderful, well-thought-out, and sometimes truly heartbreaking stories to be told. What's stopping the network from moving forward with the revival? Well, certainly not the lead actress.
Hewitt spoke about her love for the project and the character on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You podcast:
“No, I would do Ghost Whisperer. It was one of my favorite jobs. Melinda Gordon was hands down one of my favorite characters I’ve ever played if not my favorite. I would love to do it,” the actress revealed.
Now the fans of the series may hope for their favorite ghost story digest to return to their screens with even more eagerness. Although there weren’t any talks from the network about the series’ revival, Jennifer Love Hewitt was very outspoken about her desire to bring the story back throughout the years.
