The news that HBO is developing a solo series about Kit Harrington's character surprised many 'Game of Thrones' fans, and it looks like the writer behind the fantasy saga is also a part of the production.

The legendary George RR Martin continues to do anything but finish his best-selling fantasy novel series, revealing himself to be one of the creative forces behind the upcoming show. The original 'Game of Thrones ' finale frustrated many viewers with its shallow script and the botched conclusion of some narrative arcs, so many fans expect a solo series about Jon Snow to somehow correct those mistakes. A show centered on Snow's life after the events of the main series certainly sounds like a pretty interesting proposition, but only time will tell if HBO's venture will pay off.

Martin recently announced the working title of the series on his blog, aptly named 'Not a Blog', and it seems that HBO has decided not to strive for some genius-level title by choosing a rather simple and even boring one.

"Yes, there is a Jon Snow show in development. Our working title for the show is SNOW," Martin wrote.

Yes, the choice of the title is certainly a bit odd, but at least the general audience won't be confused about who the main character in the series will be. And fans are still not getting into the idea of the series itself, not understanding how Snow's story can be expanded upon in a significant way.

"This show is further along than I would have believed – it "has been in development almost as long as the other three [live action #gameofthrones shows]" & is "in the script stage" so it's more than just an idea. I still think we should leave Jon Snow at peace north of the wall." – @EternalVigilanc.
