General Hospital Fans Beg the Writers to Kill This Unbearable Character or They Will Drop the Show

With few exceptions, there are almost no shows that haven't gone through periods of dullness. It's just too hard to keep a long-running show at the same stable, perfect level, so there are always different kinds of ups and downs.

This is especially true for shows that have been on the air for decades, like General Hospital. The ABC soap opera premiered in 1963 and has gone through so many changes that it's almost unrecognizable. And that's fine, as long as the show isn't a total disaster.

But lately, all General Hospital fans, even those who have been defending it for years, have started to worry that this might be the end of the show, as the writers are taking it to the dumpster. The new storylines are not only cringeworthy, many of them are just plain pointless…

What’s Up With Natalia in General Hospital?

One of the characters that is ruining the show now is Natalia. Eva LaRue is a great actress, but it's still not clear what she's doing on the series. Natalia is Blaze's mother and the fans still aren’t buying the character and why she is there at all. Her own storyline is annoying, and her meddling in Blaze's and others' lives adds nothing to the show.

The fans are really tired of the writers bringing more and more side characters into the show and trying to make it all about them in one way or another.

“I think they are just wasting airtime to figure out what story to create for her. I am sorry but General Hospital is an absolute mess with way too many “unimportant” characters wasting airtime. I’ve watched from the beginning and cannot believe they allow this to continue,” Redditor PlanesweetGama said.

Some fans have already said they will stop watching if the writers don’t figure out what to do with LaRue’s character eventually.

What is the show trying to say about this character? That she's bad but not as bad as Ava because the latter is Sonny's anatagonist... over the last couple months?

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

Her character is a bit strange. Where was the over protective bulldog of a mother/financial-manager when Blaze signed with Linc? Why is she acting like Blaze's music manager when that's BLQ's job? I just don't see where she fits in... though I'm sure there is some backstory where she was some talented musician herself but that got sidelined when she met Blaze's father and had kids.

However, the obvious answer in this context is Natalia. We're not too invested in her yet, she brings nothing, doesn't interact with enough other characters, she's regressive.
