Costabile's Gale was almost the only "innocent villain" of the series, but still had an dramatic path... almost like the actor himself.

In the Breaking Bad series, the lives of almost all the main characters were decided from the moment they first met Walter White.

And after crossing his path in any way, it was obvious that they would end up dead or at least destroyed inside.

That also includes Gale Boetticher, portrayed by David Costabile, who finds out in a most unpleasant way.

Gale is a very controversial character. Although he is technically a bad guy, his intentions were not to harm anyone, but just to work with the legendary meth cook Walt.

He really admired his skills and wanted to be a part of something "great" happening in his life. But to Walt, he was just an obstacle, not even worth dealing with himself, so Gale was shot by Jesse.

Gale's impact on Breaking Bad cannot be overstated, as both his life and death contribute significantly to some of the show's greatest twists and turns.

And this is no surprise. David Costabile has proven time and time again that he's got it all as an actor.

Before being cast as Gale, Costabile had already established his skills in supporting roles on shows like The Wire, Flight of the Conchords, Damages, and several other series.

After his iconic cameo in Breaking Bad, he went on to play several major characters in various shows.

But there are two roles that fans know and love him for, which, funnily enough, are a polar opposite of Gale (well, except the fact both characters are, once again, villains).

In 2012, he played Daniel Hardman on the USA Network's legal drama Suits.

Hardman's personality was far from pleasant, as he played one of the co-founders of a large law firm who, in just one season, managed to become one of the show's most memorable true villains.

In the Billions series, he got the role of yet another sleazebag.

However, Mike Wagner, the foul-mouthed and petty character, had a surprisingly complex personality.

For now, Billions is Costabile's lengthiest TV gig. But we will always be happy to see yet another villain portrayed by the actor.
