Besides, her laugh is just what makes her so unique.

If there's one character who's been treated incredibly unfairly throughout the entire run of Friends, it's Janice.

Sure, viewers weren't supposed to feel bad that she was literally dumped by Chandler over and over again, so they didn't. Almost everyone hated her for her annoying voice and her glass-breaking laugh.

However, as the years went by and we collectively grew past judging people for what they cannot change about themselves, more and more viewers started to actually like her.

As Chandler himself once said, not only was she funny and smart, but she genuinely cared about him when no one else seemed to.

She was bold and intense, and that was almost portrayed as a bad thing in contrast to other female protagonists.

The very disciplined, rule-following Monica, the romantic and bubbly Rachel, and the spiritual Phoebe were almost not allowed to be as loud and "out there" as Janice.

But giving her the quirk in her voice was a decision that made almost everything she said annoying.

What not many people know about the character is that her iconic laugh was invented by actress Maggie Wheeler. In fact, it was the laugh that got her the role.

Funnily enough, the laugh was only meant to be a cover for times when her co-star, Matthew Perry, who played Chandler, made her laugh and crack the character.

While some wished she was gone, others believe that throughout the years, there was no other character outside of the main group of friends who understood the dynamic between them as well.

If something had worked out between her and Chandler, she would have fit right in with the group.

Fortunately, the writers decided to listen to the fans and give Janice the nice ending she deserves, even though she never found happiness with either Chandler or Ross.

Instead, she settled down with her husband and two kids, and considering how many crazy things she missed in her friends' lives, she might just be lucky to dodge the bullet.

If you are feeling nostalgic and want to revisit Friends, all seasons are available to stream on Netflix or MAX.
