This hero will be an absolute fan favorite if Dacre Montgomery portrays him.

With James Gunn now on board, the DC cinematic universe may finally overcome all the mess caused by the previous films. Gunn did a great job with The Guardians of the Galaxy in Marvel, and fans expect no less from him in DC.

One of the most requested heroes by the fans is Booster Gold. James Gunn actually confirmed it previously on Twitter.

So who is Booster Gold? Dan Jurgens created the character in 1985, making him the first completely new character introduced into the primary DC universe after the Crisis on Infinite Earths event.

When Booster Gold made his debut, he brought a fresh perspective to the franchise. Unlike many of DC's heroes, who embody justice, vengeance, and honor, Booster Gold pursued heroism for the sake of fame and fortune.

While he always strives to do what is right, Booster Gold stands apart from his fellow Justice League members.

Even though it is still unclear whether Booster Gold will appear anytime soon on the big screen, fans are already deciding who would be the best actor to portray this character.

Among the most popular options is Dacre Montgomery, Stranger Things star (he portrayed Billy). This is a good one, as Montgomery is a great actor, who hasn't gained a lot of recognition so far.

The role in DC might be a career booster he needs.

Will Poulter, who already worked with Gunn on the last Guardians and also played a "golden" character, is another candidate.

Even though Gunn stated before that he is used to working with the same actors, maybe two similar roles wouldn't be exactly the best career development for Poulter.

Some of the other great suggestions are: Sam Claflin (The Deep from The Boy), Glen Powell, Sam Claflin, and Ben Hardy.

It's too early to speculate, as no details have been revealed about Booster Gold's arrival to DC anytime soon. However, if Gunn wants to beat MCU, he has to pay attention to the fans' requests. And, knowing James Gunn, he will.
