Even the most glamorous scenes can be traumatic.

Leaving her acting career in Australia, Margot Robbie moved to the US in hopes of conquering Hollywood.

After starring in rather low-budget projects, the actress was cast in Martin Scorsese 's The Wolf of Wall Street, which had Leonardo DiCaprio as the main lead.

It was a breakthrough for Margot, who was able to impress one of the greatest directors of our time. During the audition, Margot had to play a fight scene with Leo, and she slapped him pretty hard.

The actress even feared that her career was over and that she would be sued for this act but DiCaprio and Scorsese turned the incident into a joke, and Leo even asked her to do it again.

The actress also revealed that she suffered an unexpected injury while filming an intimate scene in The Wolf of Wall Street.

In this scene, the characters of Margot and Leo get intimate on a huge pile of money.

"I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! […] Maybe real money is a bit softer, but the fake money is like paper, and when I got up off the bed, I turned around to get my robe and everyone gasped. […] They said, "You look like you've been whipped a million times. Your back is covered in a thousand red scratches," Margot Robbie shared in her interview with The Daily Beast.

Margot approaches filming responsibly, which sometimes results in her being injured even more seriously than in The Wolf of Wall Street.

The movie I, Tonya was popular with the critics. The role of the 90s figure skater earned the actress an Oscar nomination.

Figure skating is not an easy task, especially when you have to portray competitions among professionals. Robbie was injured on set and had to continue filming with a herniated disk in her neck.

She was also the producer of the movie and had absolutely no time to recover. The actress had CT scans once a week to make sure everything was okay and that she could continue filming.

Margot Robbie is now one of Hollywood's most successful actresses with two Oscar nominations.

Fans of the actress are looking forward to Greta Gerwig's new movie Barbie, starring Robbie, which hits theatres on July 21.
