Knock, knock… Still hurts, doesn't it?

An open ending is a pretty common technique, used in many shows and movies all the time. But it's only good when there's not too much room for interpretation. For example, if you know for sure that the main character is going to die, but the way he dies remains a mystery.

This approach can save some nerves, because you already know that the inevitable will happen, and the rest is details. But when the show leaves you in the dark about how things have turned out for your beloved characters without even a hint, well, that's just cruel.

The Big Bang Theory is one of those sitcoms that actually has the flaw of introducing new storylines and then leaving them unfinished.

That Howard Storyline TBBT Never Addressed

One of those storylines involves Howard. Fans surely remember that in season 8, he accidentally met his blood relative, who he didn't even know existed.

One day, a guy named Josh just showed up on Howard's porch and told him he was his half-brother and that they had the same dad. Well, to say that Wolowitz was shocked is to say nothing. At first he seemed really pissed off to find out, but eventually he bonded with him.

Now the fair question is: for what? The fans never heard from Josh again. So we can assume that they probably stayed in touch because they seemed to get along well. But at the same time, it could have been a moment where a person's "see you soon" really meant "see you never."

Raj's Love Life Story Will Forever Remain Without a Closure

One more storyline that feels unsatisfactory and for sure needed closure is Raj’s love life. For all 12 seasons his unfortunate relationships with women were the reason everybody (even losers like him) made fun of him. During the course of the show he suffered from so many heartbreaks nobody could ever recover from.

By the end of the show, every other main character had a major arc development. Penny and Leonard were happily married and expecting a child, Howard became an astronaut and created a beautiful family with Bernadette and their two children. Sheldon and Amy not only got married, they became Nobel Prize winners!

And only Raj was left almost where he started. No big personality development, no career boost, and more importantly for him, still no one by his side. There isn't a Big Bang Theory fan in the world who wouldn't want to know what the future holds for Raj after the show ends.

Did he find love? Was he able to start a family? Or is he really gay? These are the questions that will never be answered.

Oh, sorry. Maybe a Raj-focused spinoff could do the trick and clear things up.
