The 'Doctor Strange' sequel has become a truly refreshing part of Marvel's Phase Four, with Sam Raimi sprinkling the movie with horror elements and new directorial gimmicks that have not been typical for Marvel movies before.
This is why, apparently, fans are praising 'Multiverse of Madness' as the MCU 's best-looking movie, with the actors' talent beautifully combined with stunning visual effects and Raimi's creative decisions.
The script, however, could have definitely been better, fans argue.
According to many people, poor writing has almost ruined the 'Doctor Strange' sequel, despite the impeccable visuals.
The movie's script, written by Michael Waldron (you might know him as the 'Loki ' TV series screenwriter), has faced a lot of criticism, mainly because of a sudden twist in the story of the Scarlet Witch, who turns out to be the main villain. Among other issues that fans took with the script were plot holes, not-family-friendly dialogues, and the general feeling that the storyline was being constantly changed in the process.
