What if Sheldon was… Shelley?

While waiting for the episode's finale of Young Sheldon 's season 6, fans keep making up theories and predictions on what is going to happen.

Meanwhile, some fans search for better boredom killing activities while waiting for the finale. A fan shared pictures of Young Sheldon's main characters if their genders were swapped, created with FaceApp.

The video features all the beloved and well-known characters, but being of an opposite gender and consequently, having different names.

Sheldon Cooper is now Shelley, Missy is Master, Georgie is Georgina, Mary and George are Mark and Georgia respectively.

It looks kind of fun, you can recognize the same facial features of the same characters but of a different gender now. Except for Missy, — Master looks like a 30 years old guy with a beard for some reason.

Fans remembered the 22nd episode of season 5, when Sheldon in his dream played the role of his mother, father, Georgie, and Meemaw at the same time.

This hilarious video can actually make one wonder what changes it would bring to the show if the gender swap really happened.

If Sheldon Cooper was portrayed as a girl, there would likely be a shift in the way the character interacts with others.

The show might explore the challenges and prejudices that come with being a highly intelligent young girl in a predominantly male-dominated field like science.

It could provide an opportunity to address gender stereotypes and the obstacles faced by girls in STEM.

The relationships between Shelley (Sheldon) and other characters would be affected as well.

For example, her interactions with her now sister Georgina (Georgie) would change, potentially showcasing a different sibling dynamic between a highly intelligent girl and her elder sister.

As a female character, Georgina might still exhibit traits such as being rebellious, athletic, and popular. And this time Georgie certainly won't impregnate anyone, but might get pregnant herself.

Changing the genders of the main characters would offer opportunities for new and diverse storylines, exploring different family dynamics, relationships, and societal expectations.

It would allow the show to delve into gender-related themes and provide a fresh perspective on the characters' stories, presenting a fresh perspective and potentially resonating with a broader audience.
