Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been on the air for just under 10 years and has managed to give viewers eight seasons in that time. Throughout the series, Jack and Amy have been the main pair of investigative cops, often competing in their professional activities.
At one point, Peralta and Santiago started dating, but that didn't stop them from having a rivalry to determine the best detective.
From the very first episode, Jake won the hearts of viewers with his charm, wit, and quirky sleuthing skills. He's a lovable goofball with a heart of gold, and his drive to solve crimes is unparalleled. Whether he's parodying criminals, working undercover, or cracking jokes at the most inopportune moments, Peralta never fails to amaze.

It was Jake who helped solve Sergeant Terry's complicated case that tarnished his reputation for years, assisted Captain Holt in eliminating his nemesis, and beat everyone in the first Halloween Heist.
Among other things, Peralta backed Amy's father in an open investigation that brought him closer to his girlfriend's parents, solved a murder and recovered $21 million, and saved the station from the wrath of Wuntch, Captain Holt's boss, who hates him and dreams of sinking the Nine Niners.
Many fans point to a moment early in the series when Jake and Amy were competing to catch criminals. It seemed that Santiago was already ahead of her opponent, but at the last moment, Peralta managed to win by a wide margin.
But some viewers think the cute couple is overrated, and the best detective on the show is Charles Boyle. The hapless cop combines Amy's diligence and Jake's intuition, using their best qualities on the job to catch criminals.
But despite Boyle's skills, for most fans, no one can top Peralta.
