The young genius is back at it again.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse brings viewers back on a journey with Miles Morales through different dimensions and timelines, showcasing various versions of the beloved web-slinger. Among the dozens of Spidey variations, planet numbers, and faces, there is one particular name that stands out in the multiverse.

Preston Mutanga may not be a character from Across The Spider-Verse, but he has indeed become a significant figure in Miles Morales' story.

If you are a die-hard fan of anything that has to do with Peter Parker, then you know that this young animator has already been working on recreating scenes from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse with a unique LEGO-inspired twist.

In January 2023, when Preston Mutanga recreated the Across the Spider-Verse trailer with LEGO bricks, he caught the attention of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who are known for their LEGO movie projects. They were so impressed that they decided to include a LEGO Universe segment in the upcoming movie.

The young animator's recreation of the trailer not only wowed Hollywood's most successful multi-hyphenate duo, but also the fans and creators of the film. Mutanga's work caught the attention of the directors of Across The Spider-Verse and Miles Morales creator Brian Michael Bendis.

The young boy's talent earned him a role in the film, contributing to scenes in which the Spot discovers a LEGO Spider-Man universe where LEGO Spider-Man provides information to Miguel O'Hara's character.

And now, a few months after the film's anticipated release, the young genius has released another LEGO-inspired video. This time, he recreates one of the most climactic scenes in the sequel to Miles Morales' story.

In Mutanga's adaptation, we're taken back to Earth-42, a grim reality without Spider-Man. As Miles desperately tries to save his version of his father, Captain Jefferson, he encounters his dark doppelganger, Miles G. Morales, aka Prowler.

By casually recreating memorable scenes from his favorite movies, Preston Mutanga has already solidified himself as a young and prominent animator who's sure to have a bright and successful future ahead of him. And we can't wait to see more of him working on and collaborating with the Miles Morales universe.
