Everything We Know About NCIS Spinoff Sydney
There’s always a way to give fans what they want.
The American NCIS franchise is on hiatus due to industry strikes, so we probably will not get NCIS season 21 until the end of the next year. But luckily for the fans, the show's Australian version is ready to steal the spotlight.
NCIS: Sydney is the first international venture of the franchise. And it is currently already in active production, ready to bring some more energy to the beloved series.
The main storyline will revolve around the rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific, which will cause a team of U.S. NCIS agents gather forces with the Australian Federal Police to form a multinational force, twice as big and strong.
According to Hello Magazine, the new spinoff is already deep in the process of filming new episodes. And the fans are in fact waiting eagerly for the new show to be released anytime soon.
“I’ve really enjoyed watching foreign shows on Netflix. Makes sense for broadcast to do this during the strikes to offer more than just repeats and horrible reality tv,” Redditor Revolutionary-Try746 said.
It has already been announced that the new show will air exclusively in Australia on Paramount+ and Network 10.
The premiere date for the highly anticipated show is November 10, 2023. Following the premiere, the eight-episode season will be released weekly on Fridays.
The cast of NCIS: Sydney is a mix of some already well-known actors as well as some fresh faces. For example, Olivia Swann, an English actress, joins the cast to play the role of NCIS Agent Michelle Mackey.
There's also Todd Lasance, an Australian actor who will play Sergeant Jim "JD" Dempsey. And many more actors ready to step in to film the fresh NCIS series.
So let's just wait and see what the new production will bring to the hardcore NCIS fans.
