Everything That 'Supernatural' Fans Are Not Okay With in 'The Winchesters'

It looks like the nostalgia and dedication to the 15-year-long show are not enough to persuade OG 'Supernatural ' fans to be less skeptical towards the upcoming prequel, 'The Winchesters '.
The first trailer has created a lot of confusion and triggered many questions among fans who are desperately trying to connect the dots between the prequel and the original story of Sam and Dean Winchester.
First of all, according to that very original story, Dean Winchester was supposed to be dead. The trailer does not indicate the time period when Dean is telling the story, so it's unclear whether Jensen Ackles ' character is resurrected or it's just a flashback.
While Dean is alive, there is no Sam by his side, and some fans refuse to accept his absence.
Besides, the whole vibe of the trailer, fans argue, does not give out the 70s energy, looking too modern (in a bad way).
For a lot of people, even the decision to delve into the story of Mary and John Winchester instead of exploring other 'Supernatural' storylines felt wrong.
And now that the story of John and Mary seems retconned, it just adds fuel to the fire.
Ironically, the only character that did not raise any questions was a completely new one.
Despite the trailer being questionable and vague, to say the least, a lot of fans are still willing to give the show a chance. Many believe that Jensen Ackles' take on the story of John and Mary might actually do it justice, unlike the finale of 'Supernatural' that left the overwhelming majority of fans disappointed.
'The Winchesters' hits screens in the fall of 2022, with the exact release date to be announced later.
