Even Marvel Stars Complained About Most Criticized Endgame Scene (Albeit For a Very Different Reason)
One thing fans and cast can agree on: they all wished for this scene to be over as soon as possible.
Avengers: Endgame was doomed from the very beginning, all thanks to the expectations of fans and critics.
Unfortunately for Marvel Studios and the production team, it is impossible to make a franchise finale that makes everyone equally happy.
Especially when we're talking about The Avengers, an MCU staple that paved the way for many other superheroes to follow.
Like any other movie, it had its ups and downs, but the majority of fans left the theater happy with what they saw.
Only a few questions and complaints have surfaced among the emotional distress of coming to terms with the end of the Avengers era.
One of those revolved around a certain moment in the final battle scene, which was supposed to show female empowerment but came out rather cringe-worthy.
The dialogue in the scene seemed unrealistic to the fans, as well as the simultaneous appearance of MCU female leads.
It's easy to see how epic this moment was supposed to be in writers' and directors' minds, however in reality they went too hard and made it look unnatural to the film itself.
What the fans were not expecting to hear was that the actors were just as unhappy filming this part as the viewers were watching it.
The main difference lies in the reasoning behind these statements. While the fans were trying to understand the logic of a battle, the actors just wanted to... go home.
"What I can remember is that we were just complaining about how uncomfortable our costumes were, our makeup, our wigs, how cold the set was, how much we didn't want to be there, how much we wanted to be there. So we were just being girls, you know?" Zoe Saldaña, who portrayed Gamora in both the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise and the Avengers finale, said in her interview for Entertainment Weekly.
Of course, in the end, all complaints and questions aside, the thrilling story and the glorious battle for Earth made Avengers: Endgame a truly special experience for the fans, the actors, and the production team.
