Even Die-Hard Fans Cringe at These Top 5 Moments From The Walking Dead
It's no secret that The Walking Dead has had its fair share of cringeworthy moments.
From awkward dialogue to ridiculous plot points, we've all cringed at least once while watching the show. And let's face it, some of these moments have been hard to forget. That's why we've compiled a list of the top 5 cringiest moments in The Walking Dead 's history.
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just a casual viewer, these moments are guaranteed to make you cringe.
Negan and Alpha scene
Negan and Alpha's intimate moment was certainly one for the books – and by books, we mean the 'cringeworthy moments' section. We have to ask, TWD writers, was it really necessary to make us endure such horror? And Alpha's line, 'Does my true skin disturb you,' is still haunting us.
The surprise smooch between Gabriel and Rosita
Seriously, what was that all about? It's no secret that this show has had its fair share of cringeworthy moments, but this one takes the cake. We were all hoping for more of Siddiq and Rosita, who had some serious chemistry. Instead, we got Gabriel and Rosita's awkward lip lock. And to make matters worse, Siddiq met his untimely demise while Gabriel is still around. Talk about a disappointment.
Carl, condescending
Rick takes it upon himself to teach Ron how to shoot a gun. Meanwhile, Carl stands off to the side, spouting off advice in a super smug and patronizing tone. It's a cringe-worthy moment, to say the least. 'You've got to be strong enough to wait for your moment' – yeah, no thanks, Carl. This line had me groaning on a recent rewatch.
The wrestling scene
The wrestling scene on Founder's Day in the Commonwealth might have been the most cringeworthy moment in The Walking Dead yet. The whole thing was just absurd, with ridiculous wrestling and audience reactions that were almost too painful to watch. It's a shame that they couldn't film a football game like in the comics, but with COVID restrictions in place, they had to make do with a different scene. Let's just say it didn't quite hit the mark.
Rick, Daryl and a machine gun in their car
Well, that car chase with Rick and Daryl going after the Saviors was a complete disaster. It was poorly filmed and moved at a snail's pace, making it hard to believe that Rick and Daryl were able to come out on top. It was supposed to be a badass action scene during the war, but it was more reminiscent of something you'd see on the CW. Seriously, this was a terrible excuse for an action sequence.
