One of the major factors that made House of The Dragon the success that it was is an amazing cast of very talented actors, perfectly suited to their roles.

Despite the constant criticism that some characters did not match the descriptions in the books, and others were not beautiful enough to represent the beauty of the Targaryens, the show's production team managed to prove everyone wrong.

As is usually the case with franchises as large as the Game of Thrones universe, the actors behind the main characters suffered the most pressure.

Emma D'Arcy, who portrayed Rhaenyra, went through a lot to make her audition work, but had to deal with some hate for not looking like the perfect choice to play a "realm's delight."

With the help of the hair and makeup department and their great acting skills, they were able to shine no matter what.

In fact, their performance was so good that to this day, Emma D'Arcy's name is rumored to be among the most prestigious TV nominations.

Of course, they could have handled all the pressure on their own, but it was much easier with the support of their co-stars.

D'Arcy previously revealed that they received some great advice from Matt Smith, who plays Daemon Targaryen, and Olivia Cooke, who plays the adult Alicent Hightower.

But they weren't the only ones who helped out their fellow Targaryens.

As D'Arcy admitted at The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable, they also received some great advice from their on-screen great-great-great-granddaughter, Daenerys Targaryen, portrayed by Emilia Clarke.

"I spoke to Emilia Clarke before we started shooting, and she was so beautiful and so generous. [What did she tell you?] Loads of stuff, which honestly, I'm going to keep for myself," they said.

Although the audience and all the other actresses at the roundtable were not given any specifics about portraying someone from a Targaryen family, we can imagine what an interesting conversation it was.

With the Targaryens being as political and family-driven as we have seen in both Game of Thrones and House of The Dragon, you have to have a strong understanding of the character's motivations to do them justice.

Stay tuned to see what awaits Rhaenyra in House of The Dragon Season 2!
