Doom Patrol: the more the merrier... Unless you're getting replaced.

In the 5th season of the Doom Patrol TV series, there might be some new members joining the team of superheroes. And it sounds like some old ones might not make it.

The showrunner of Doom Patrol, Jeremy Carver, hinted that the team will undergo some major changes in a possible 5th season. He said there will be new members and teased that some of the old superheroes might die.

HBO Max has already released the first two episodes of the 4th season of Doom Patrol. It's already clear that major events are coming in the series that will greatly impact the show's universe. The Doom Patrol will have to fight to save the world from apocalypse. And their time travels may lead to catastrophic events.

Here's what Jeremy Carver himself got to say about it:

"That very much makes sense. I don't want to comment too much on that, but there is the Doom Patrol, and there's the Doom Patrol family. If you're asking me personally, can I see different iterations of both? Of course, I can. In the future, yeah!" (via)

In DC comics, there were several versions of the Doom Patrol. At different times, the team also included Elongated Man and Bumblebee. So in the show, new superheroes can also become part of the Doom Patrol.

In the next season of the Doom Patrol, it looks like there will be some changes to the team. Some of the secondary characters may be joining, and it's possible that some of the old team members won't make it. We'll have to wait and see who stays and who goes, but it's sure to be an exciting season.

In the meanwhile, the premiere of the third episode of the fourth season is expected to air on December 15, so mark your calendars and get ready for some more superhero action.
