Coincidence? We sure hope it is.

There's no need to tell you how much people enjoyed the two Deadpool movies produced by Marvel so far. They were everything audiences wanted to see: raw and dark humor, perfectly balanced action, and Ryan Reynolds proving himself to be an improv genius once again.

Now that the third film is in production, fans are getting their hopes dangerously high. Not only for the return of Reynolds as Wade Wilson but also for the glorious return of Hugh Jackman 's Wolverine.

It's safe to say that social media has been exploding with images of the two actors, fully dressed in their respective costumes, doing an action scene together on set. The anticipation for Deadpool 3 has probably reached its peak, but some fans are not so sure that the final product will be worth the hype.

Those who remember the excitement of X-Men Origins: Wolverine are much more skeptical and refuse to get their hopes up just yet. As unfortunate as it is, Deadpool 3 seems to hit all the same milestones as the first movie that brought Wolverine and Deadpool together. The good ones, but also the bad ones.

The worst of which, of course, is being produced during the WGA writers strike.

Since the strike has been going on for over 2 months now, you can imagine the effect it is having on the industry. Some shows and movies are being delayed in release, and others are being dropped or canceled.

Those projects that had completed scripts before the strike have moved forward with filming, but will have to do so without the writer on set, which may (and probably will) affect the quality of the final footage.

And perhaps worst of all, any actor who also writes and is a member of the WGA is prohibited from ad-libbing during the strike. This includes Ryan Reynolds himself.

While some may argue that X-Men Origins: Wolverine had it much worse because the script wasn't fully finished before the strike, and that had an even worse impact on the released movie, Deadpool 3 still risks losing a huge chunk of its charm. And getting a dry and humorless Deadpool would be even worse than getting none at all.
