Does Stranger Things 5 First Episode's Title Hint at Eddie Munson Comeback?
This is not a drill!
With the writing for the Stranger Things final season already underway, even the smallest details can spark a storm of fan speculations online. This is exactly what happened when the title of season 5 episode 1 was revealed.
Now we know that the first episode of the upcoming final chapter is titled The Crawl thanks to the official pic of the screenplay posted on Stranger Things Twitter page. And this could mean literally anything, which is why fans rushed to offer their own views regarding the title.
For some people, it is a hint for Eddie Munson coming back... because fans love and miss him, and are clearly eager to see hints at him returning in anything. Others, however, urged Eddie fans to "get over" his death finally and stop looking for clues.
However, they don't stop.
What are the odds of the lyrics from Eddie's anthem to be the title for the first episode of the final season of the show? With the Duffer brothers, anything can be a clue if you believe it enough.
Other fans resorted to jokes... those are jokes, right?
"Yesss when Robin crawls through Nancy's window in the middle of the nighttt," Twitter fan guccigangwade (and apparently a Ronance shipper) said.
Other people simply keep their fingers crossed for a happy ending — something that is not promised to everyone. Season 4 has left the Hawkins gang in huge distress, with Max being in a coma, and Vecna eager to hunt down every single one of them.
Besides, fans are still not over Eddie Munson's death, as we can see from the speculations that the first episode's title has triggered. It was one of the most tragic goodbyes the fandom had to say to a new character.
With season 5 concluding the main story of Stranger Things, fans are already, the fandom is already preparing itself for an emotional rollercoaster. However, the premiere date is yet to be scheduled, as is the date of the shooting.
