Fallout showrunners just revealed a major character’s involvement in Season 2 — and we now know the official canon ending for New Vegas.

Prime Video ’s Fallout has been an absolute joy to watch so far, especially for the old-time fans of the franchise. With little and big pieces of lore and references littering every other scene like nobody’s business, we expect the series to keep up the good work in Season 2 — and from what we’ve learned so far, we’ll be getting it.

Recently, the Fallout showrunner revealed a major Fallout: New Vegas character’s appearance in the upcoming season, and it’s just as exciting as it sounds. But this also bears bigger news: we might just have been told the canon FNV ending!

The Big Corporate Is Watching You

During the pivotal meeting scene in Fallout Season 1, we saw the leaders of all the major corporations of pre-war America. But the only one who really caught OG fans’ attention was, of course, Mr. House, the leader of RobCo. His familiar stached mug came as a pleasant surprise in S1, and he’ll be back in Season 2!

“Many of our lead characters are Vegas-bound. Las Vegas in the world of Fallout is Robert House’s town. Robert House will be involved in Season 2,” Fallout showrunner Graham Wagner revealed in a recent interview with Variety.

There are, of course, several ways for Mr. House to make an appearance in Season 2, but only one makes sense — and the biggest impact on the Fallout lore, too.

Why Is Mr. House a Big Deal?

In Fallout: New Vegas, Robert House is one of the most powerful players of the Mojave Wasteland. As the leader of the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas and the Three Families, he singlehandedly ruled over the region — but the player could change the status quo by siding with the NCR, the Legion, or Yes-Man.

Seeing that House will be involved in Season 2, according to Wagner, we can only assume that it won’t be merely a flashback appearance like in Season 1. Effectively, this update reveals what happened in New Vegas 15 years ago, so it’s huge!

You see, to be actively involved in the events of the Fallout TV show, Mr. House needs to be alive — obviously. And only one ending of Fallout: New Vegas sees the former RobCo boss survive: the one where the Courier takes his side and helps him maintain control of the Mojave Wasteland against the Legion and NCR’s expansion.

Long story short, 15 years ago, Robert House managed to protect his domain, and his rivaling factions were thrown off from New Vegas and most of Mojave.
