Did Ewan McGregor Just Spoiled Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Involvement In 'Star Wars' Series?
Looks like the 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' star just spoiled the role of his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the hotly anticipated 'Star Wars' series. Not in the one you thought, though.
Disney+ and Lucasfilm are gearing up to launch their line of 'Star Wars ' TV shows this year, and several high-budget projects are in post-production. The biggest of these, of course, is Ewan McGregor 's 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ', which chronicles the further adventures of the beloved Jedi. The miniseries will also star Rupert Friend, Joel Edgerton and Hayden Christensen, who will reprise his role as Darth Vader. But other series seem to be attracting similar star power to a galaxy far, far away, with Winstead alleged involvement in the upcoming 'Ahsoka ' series.
In a conversation with Vanity Fair, McGregor spilled the beans about his wife's casting in the Rosario Dawson-led series, while discussing their child being born into a huge Star Wars family.
"My partner, Mary, is doing that Star Wars series with Rosario and she's about to start. Our little boy has been born into this massive Star Wars family. He will either embrace it or really go the other way. I don't know. Maybe he'll be a Trekkie!" McGregor said.
With no official confirmation from Disney, Winstead involvement is yet to be announced, but fans are sure her husband knows a little about his wife's career. So yes, it looks like the Star Wars family just scored an exciting new member.
