Did Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey Just Spoil a Major S3 Plot Twist?
The Bridgerton family may be growing.
Summary:
- Bridgerton is a Netflix romantic period drama series that follows the love stories of 8 Bridgerton siblings.
- Season 2 focused on Anthony Bridgerton, portrayed by Jonathan Bailey, and Kate Sharma, portrayed by Simone Ashley.
- Although they had their happy ending, fans believe that one of the subplots of the upcoming season will have to do with his and his wife's new family roles.
There is nothing better than a nice heartwarming and dynamic romantic story. When the cruel reality becomes too much, it’s fictional characters and whole fictional universes that can comfort us and instill hope for the better future to come.
However, the romantic story never ends with a wedding. If anything, the bliss of married life may be even more interesting to some than the way a couple has gotten together.
Too bad Bridgerton didn’t have much chance to explore the lives of season 1’s couple, Daphne and Simon, but fans are sure to see Anthony and Kate back.
As the eldest son of the family holding the viscount title, Anthony Bridgerton still remains responsible for launching his sisters into society, so his character isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Even more so, his responsibilities may soon grow to include yet another Bridgerton.
Will Anthony and Kate Have a Baby In Bridgerton S3?
Although Shondaland and Netflix, as well as the entire cast, have been very tight-lipped about what season 3 will and will not include, some viewers are coming up with their own theories.
Considering how many times both Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, who portray Anthony and Kate, have mentioned "marital bliss" in relation to their respective characters this week, these theories may not be unfounded.
The recent video of Bailey talking about his acting career, shared by BAFTA, only makes the Bridgerton fandom even more suspicious. When asked what role he has never had but would like to play in the future, the actor started to answer truthfully, but then seemed to struggle with the rest of his words:
“I think also the parent-children dynamic is very interesting.I don’t have children myself, but I don’t want to wish my life away. But I am quite excited about playing, like, yeah, paternal roles, maybe. Let’s see. Who knows?” he said.
Following Jonathan Bailey through the years of promoting the Bridgerton seasons, as well as his most recent project, Fellow Travelers, fans know that the actor isn't usually the one struggling to find words.
Was that him walking the fine line of not saying too much according to Netflix's guidelines? Many people all over social media believe so and take it as a hint.
However, the full truth about what the future holds for Anthony and Kate Bridgerton in season 3 of the drama will not be known until it is released. The first part of the show is set to premiere on May 16, so be sure to tune in to Netflix to be the first to find out.
