Deadpool 3 to Address Franchise's Biggest Lapse

Everyone loves Deadpool, and that's a hundred. However, it's been seriously lapsing in one crucial department — but admittedly, the third movie will finally fix that.

Undoubtedly, we would name the Deadpool franchise one of the most fun in the entire MCU.

This franchise largely stands out from the rest of the Marvel movies, and it's allowed to do stuff no other movie can — portray graphic violence, have its main character swear and break the third wall, etc., etc.

While being one of the absolute fan favorites, Deadpool has also been doing great in terms of adapting the original comic…

Except for one thing, that is. Despite the Deadpool movies remaining true to their source material, one essential character got dramatically overlooked in terms of, well, their very nature.

We're talking about Deadpool's sweetheart, Vanessa. If you've only watched the movies, you may not realize just how bypassed she got.

You see, in the comic books, Vanessa is no mere human — she's a mutant and a very powerful one, too!

There's no such person as just Vanessa. Instead, there's Copycat — a blue-skinned shapeshifter able to assume anyone's appearance both on visual and genetic levels.

What this means in practice is that Copycat can take over any other mutant's abilities and be the most versatile fighter in any battle or casual situation.

This doesn't exactly sound like the good old movie Vanessa, does it?

Since Deadpool 3 will be the final installment of the franchise, it's only right that the writers finally do her character some justice and make her become the mutant she's always been supposed to be…

Or even reveal that she's been Copycat this entire time!

Unlike most other Marvel movies, Deadpool can afford to go overboard with the explanation of how Copycat came to be. Perhaps, Vanessa has been a mutant all this time and Deadpool didn't know.

Perhaps, he even knew and just kept us in the dark, and when Copycat reveals herself, he'll tell us something along the lines of "Oh, did I forget to mention that my wife is the strongest mutant alive? Oopsie!"

Or maybe, some events during the third movie will lead to Vanessa changing on the genetic level and becoming Copycat right before us.

This could even lead to a new franchise — or remain a funny (and justified ) gag of Deadpool's final installment.

Either way, it's been two whole movies of Morena Baccarin playing a plain and boring human on the set where everybody's rocking a cool suit and at least one superpower.

It would only be fair to finally give her her own powers to wield.
