AMC, please don't ruin it for everyone.

The highly anticipated spinoff of TWD, titled The Walking Dead: Dead City, is set to hit our screens this Sunday, June 18. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the story about Negan and Maggie will unfold.

However, there's one plot twist that fans are dreading — the possibility of a romantic relationship between Maggie and Negan.

Maggie and Negan share a tumultuous past. Negan's actions led to the death of Maggie's husband, Glenn, which had a profound impact on her and the group. Understandably, Maggie harbored deep anger and hatred towards Negan for the pain he inflicted on her and her loved ones.

In the finale of The Walking Dead, even though Maggie was grateful for what Negan did later on the show, including saving Hershel, she made it abundantly clear that she couldn't forgive Negan for his past actions.

Given their history, the idea of a romantic relationship between Maggie and Negan feels jarring and out of place for many viewers. Fans fear that such a development would undermine the growth and healing both characters have experienced since their initial conflicts.

Over time, Maggie and Negan have gone through their own individual journeys, facing numerous trials and tribulations. Negan, in particular, has shown signs of remorse and a desire for redemption.

This gradual transformation has allowed fans to appreciate the complexity of his character. However, the wounds inflicted on Maggie and the trauma associated with Negan's actions cannot be easily forgotten.

Fans are super excited to see how Maggie grows and handles all the craziness in the post-apocalyptic world without compromising her core beliefs.

Maggie's character arc has been one of strength, resilience, and determination. Seeing her forgive Negan completely would diminish the impact of her personal growth and the significance of the losses she endured.

But there are reasons to believe that the show isn’t going that way. Paul Tassi from Forbes, who watched all 6 episodes of the show, said that we don't need to worry about AMC doing anything weird with Negan and Maggie getting together.

According to Tassi, that's not the direction the story is going in.
