The actor's inspiration was Christian Bale's Batman, and now he can be in his place.

More than 10 years ago, Bradley Cooper had every chance of winning the role of Green Lantern in the movie of the same name.

He had good acting, charm, charisma and fame thanks to his role in The Hangover. The only thing Bradley didn't have was an understanding of how to play Hal Jordan.

According to Cooper, when he auditioned for the role, he was inspired by Christian Bale 's Batman and acted like him.

After the audition, he stayed and watched his recording on the monitor. What he saw did not sit well with him, as Bradley's performance looked like a sketch from Saturday Night Live.

However, it seems that the knowledge and skills Cooper gained from Bale's Batman will be put to good use in the near future.

Since the appointment of James Gunn as the creative head of DC Studios, there have been some pretty big and unexpected changes, and apparently Gunn has his own clear plan for DC.

Seems like many of the projects included in that plan will include actors who have only recently completed their journey at Marvel.

"We have hundreds of roles to cast. As I've always done, some will be brand new faces, some will be actors I've worked with before, & some will be actors you know who I've never worked with. What matters most is the actor fits the role & they're easy to work with," Gunn wrote on his Twitter.

Cooper famously played Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy, and given the actor's comment that he goes where James Gunn goes, it's safe to expect him to appear in DCU.

Numerous reports indicate that it is Cooper who will take the place of the older Batman in Gunn's new project – The Brave and The Bold. It will be part of the first chapter of the new DC Cinematic Universe.

The movie is based on the DC comic book series of the same name. The plot will focus on the adventures of Bruce Wayne and his son Damian Wayne, who eventually becomes Robin.
