Daisy Jones And The Six Finale Got Fans Begging For More

Since Daisy Jones & The Six: A Novel was written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and released in 2019, it quickly caught the attention of readers and ended up as the March '19 pick in Reese Witherspoon's book club.

The book seems to have piqued Whitherspoon's interest enough that later this year, she was announced as one of the executive producers of the miniseries of the same name.

Although the show seemed destined for success thanks to the big names in the cast and the writers' corner, it was met with very mixed reviews.

While some viewers were there for the aesthetics of the show, others, especially fans of the original book, found the story lacking.

Either way, with the final episode airing on March 24, 2023, many wondered if the story would be continued.

Co-showrunners Scott Neustadter and Will Graham spoke with Variety and revealed that they both would be ready to return to Daisy Jones & The Six season 2 production, if "Taylor [Jenkins Reid] has another chapter for these characters in her head".

As they assured Variety, the same would go for other members of the production team, including the cast.

But would the fans even want a second season? With the story seemingly complete, and many readers not particularly fond of how their favorite book was adapted to the screen, the need for an extension was questionable.

However, judging by the reactions of the fans, they are ready to see Daisy Jones & The Six continue.

"Seems like they set the show up for a possible reunion tour in the 90s and a second season," Redditor CanyonCoyote said, suggesting a possibility for the band's comeback.

Whether that will happen, or whether the show's creators, along with Jenkins Reid, will decide to end it right then and there, remains to be seen.
