After the reveal of Patrick Stewart's Professor X return to the MCU in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', fans began speculating who else might be in the movie. Looks like we finally know that it won't be Cyclops.

During his interview to Black Girl Nerds Marsden answered long circulating rumors about his potential involvement in the film. Despite Cyclops' death in 'X-Men: The Last Stand', fans argued that the events of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' created a timeline where the beloved leader of the mutants team is still alive. And given the multiverse narrative that will obviously play out in the next installment of the Doctor Strange story, why wouldn't Marvel reintroduce one of its most popular characters from the early 2000s?

Yet, it's just feels like Marvel producers are not really interested. Marsden didn't play coy when asked about the casting rumors directly, cheerfully stating that:

"No... I'm not. So I'm not going to see it. [Laughs] I mean, that'd be cool to see those two worlds collide."

Despite Andrew Garfield's whole I'm-not-in-it situation, it seems that for Marsden it's just not the case.

Cyclops-less 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' will hit theatres on May, 6, 2022.
