Crossover Time: Every Community Actor Who Appeared in the MCU
The Russo brothers certainly enjoy working with some actors more than with others, and it shows.
Before they found fame for their work on the top Marvel movies, the Russo brothers directed and produced Community, a hit sitcom that ran from 2009 to 2014.
Apparently, they loved the cast so much that they couldn't help but bring them into the MCU with them.
Here is every major Community actor who has gone on to star in Marvel movies.
Danny Pudi
Abed Nadir would probably kill for the opportunity to help Captain America, but the actor who portrayed him played the character who actually did.
Danny Pudi had a small role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as one of the good guys on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s side.
Donald Glover
Troy had a special place in his heart for Spider-Man and Miles Morales. Funnily enough, Donald Glover appeared as Miles' uncle, Aaron Davis, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
If we ever see him again in the MCU, Glover's character has to cross paths with Pudi's character in one way or another – we absolutely need Troy and Abed in the MCU (to be sung in *that voice*).
Yvette Nicole Brown
Shirley seems to have had quite the career change. In Avengers: Endgame, Yvette Nicole Brown memorably played one of the '70s S.H.I.E.L.D.'s agents, who saw through Tony and Cap's disguise right away.
Chang probably had one of the most unexpected career paths in Greendale, at one point even working as a security guard. Coincidentally, Ken Jeong's character had the same job in Avengers: Endgame!
Jim Rash
Dean Craig Pelton was an absolute fan favorite on Community, and a lot of that was due to Jim Rash's charm. The actor returned for a cameo in Captain America: Civil War, and he got a promotion – he was now the Dean of M.I.T.!
Many actors with recurring roles on Community have also starred in Marvel movies, including Brie Larson, Aaron Himelstein, Martin Starr, Walton Goggins, Nathan Fillion, Randall Park, Kumail Nanjiani, Enver Gjokaj, DC Pierson, Tim Heidecker, Steve Agee, and Johnny Pemberton.
Now all we need is for Jeff, Britta, and Annie to join the MCU, and the gang will be back together again!
