There's always that one bug that just keeps annoying the people around it.

We are not exaggerating when we say that The Office is at the top of the list of the best comedy series. The iconic mockumentary stole the hearts of fans a long time ago, and the show has been keeping them happy ever since.

Almost every storyline used in the show became truly iconic in an instant. Each episode, in a most ridiculous way, actually covers the deepest thoughts about our daily lives and teaches us a lot.

However, despite all the love The Office has received from fans and critics over the years, the show has never been considered flawless.

In fact, there were a lot of storylines that, aside from being intriguing and interesting at some level, still bugged every fan on every binge-watch.

One of the storylines we are talking about is actually Cathy's appearance on the show in season 8. Frankly, fans still don't understand what the point of her being in the show was. But it seems like there is an answer to that question.

"Cathy wasn't a character. She was a plot device who showed up for no great reason, never established any personality or motivations, randomly tried to get with Jim, and never came back from Florida. She existed only as a ham-fisted foreshadowing of the "Pam-Jim Marriage Problems" story arc," Redditor NoTraining9883 said.

Well, "the tool" seemed to be pretty annoying in every scene she was in. But mostly the fans hated her for her behavior in Florida when she tried to seduce Jim. She was so sure that everything would be so easy for her, but she failed miserably.

However, there is one thing that fans are thankful for when it comes to Cathy.

"The only positive thing Cathy provided was the smug bed bug scene. Love the dialogue and body language between Dwight and Jim. One of my favorite scenes. Get me every time!" Redditor TDancer10973 said.

There is no doubt that the bug scene is iconic.

But was it actually worth it?
