As much as we all love The Big Bang Theory, there's no denying that sometimes it's simply cringe.

The Big Bang Theory 's 12 seasons were full of everything. There were friendships, professional triumphs, controversial global issues, and even romance.

But there is one thing that stayed the same in almost every scene of every episode: the hint of embarrassment that walked a fine line between awkwardness and cringe.

As we said, the show had plenty of that kind of stuff. For example, almost every time Sheldon interacted with someone outside his circle of friends.

Social anxiety was his problem, but we were the ones who suffered the consequences, witnessing his communication failures.

TBBT's Worst Storyline Came Completely Out of Nowhere and Ruined Everything

The same feeling we get every time Howard tries to force his manhood on different women. Or when Amy tries out her seduction skills on Sheldon. Or especially the period of Raj's unhealthy relationship with his doggy.

Yes, every TBBT character has their own share of creepiness. But sometimes, it goes out of control.

Fans officially declared the cringiest episode of the series to be the one titled The Misinterpretation Agitation in season 8.

The story in this episode revolves around Penny as she accidentally becomes the love interest of a middle-aged doctor with such poor flirting skills that he misinterprets all the signals Penny gives him during their working hours.

TBBT Fans Hate This Episode So Much They Actually Can't Watch It

The creepy stalker is played by Bob Thornton, which makes the scene even funnier. The poor man shows up at Penny's door with some flowers to impress her, but instead of her, he finds Sheldon.

Being a man of manners, Sheldon invites the stalker in for a hot beverage, and the funniest thing happens when Leonard, having found out what is going on, just bursts out in jealousy.

Fans are sure that the way this whole situation has been handled in the show is quite upsetting and frankly confusing.

"Leonard immediately gets jealous and they all blame her for "leading him on. No one points out that a strange man from her workplace stalks her and gets into her locked building and then is led right to her door by her friends. And his tendency towards creepiness (locked the boys in his basement) is played for laughs," Reddit user Zepanda66 said.

Moral of the story? Always count your Mississippi hugs, and be careful when embracing coworkers.
