Although the 2005 CBS procedural always pushed for realism, its BAU team always conveniently had a private jet to use for literally any purpose. This was long considered the show's most ridiculous detail, and one that really ruined the immersion for many fans.
Well, the Criminal Minds 2022 revival, titled Evolution, seems to finally get it right. No jet. Finally, no jet.
The effect that removing something from the show can have on fans is truly amazing, as the BAU team finally not having a luxurious jet to jump in has finally allowed fans to enjoy the criminal profiling without having to make faces at how unrealistic it is.
The jet was "the most fictional thing about the show," according to fans, and now that it's gone, it's a real relief.
But that's not the only thing fans love about Criminal Minds: Evolution. After the premiere of the first episode, viewers praised the revival for feeling "more modern and vibrant" and "less formulaic. However, some noted that Evolution "feels like a whole new show rather than a reboot.
