Community fans can't wait for their beloved sitcom to finally make it to big screens.

Finally, many years after the iconic "Six Seasons And A Movie" line was first uttered in S2 by Danny Pudi's Abed Nadir, the feature film is finally officially in the works, as announced in September 2022 by Peacock network and Joel McHale, who played Jeff Winger on the show and who will also serve as EP on the upcoming Movie.

Community is truly the modern geek sitcom meta-humor classic and fans have been in that awful limbo for years not knowing whether the Movie will even happen. At last, we can rejoice as apparently the feature film is just a question of time.

Community began in 2009 on NBC, sharing the channel with such cult series and fellow meta-humor sitcoms like The Office, 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation.

Spotty ratings caused NBC to cancel it in 2014, but it was picked up for a sixth and final season on Yahoo! screen in 2015.

The prospect of making a movie has always been there, just floating in the air, although at times it seemed like a project supported by the wishful thinking of the fans rather than something serious, – thankfully we don't need to guess anymore.

Show's creator, Dan Harmon, created the hit series Rick & Morty, which is still on the air.

At some points of time show creator Dan Harmon, and Alison Brie who played Annie Edison on the show, let it slip that the movie was somehow moving.

And now we have a confirmation, although question remains which cast members exactly will return to reprise their roles.

For now we know that the movie will see the following OG characters: Jeff, Abed, Annie, Britta, Dean Pelton, and Ben Chang.

Although McHale tagged original series stars Donald Glover (Troy Barnes) and Yvette Nicole Brown (Shirley Bennett) in his tweet sharing the awesome news, they were not included in Peacock's official announcement.

So time will tell whether they will return or not. We can't stress enough how much we want to see Troy and Abed in the mooooorning again.

And while we would be so tremendously happy to return to Greendale Community College, it seems we would have to wait for the movie to come out for a while as no details about the expected premiere date are being disclosed at the moment.
