It looks like fan theories turned out to be true – according to recent info, Patrick Stewart's professor Xavier will indeed join the MCU for 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.

Ever since the three Spider-Men met each other in 'No Way Home', fans couldn't help but wonder what other non-MCU heroes and villains might return in future Phase 4 titles. After hearing Stewart's distinctive voice in the trailer for 'Doctor Strange 2', fans knew immediately Professor X just had to be in the movie.

But now, thanks to CGV YouTube channel, we know it for sure. The channel has released an extended look at the recent TV spot for the upcoming film, which was shown in theaters with the ScreenX format (which extends the frame on both sides of the original film). This interesting technology allowed fans to see something they weren't supposed to – the back of Stewart's head, as well as the headpiece of his iconic hoverchair.

Sure, the headpiece in question is pretty blurry, but combined with the ongoing rumors, there is no doubt as to who it belongs to. It looks like Marvel fans just spoiled themselves a huge reveal in the upcoming movie, but who knows how many surprises 'Multiverse of Madness' still has up its sleeve.

Fans are already joking about professor Xavier's role in the film.

Some were happy to learn that the fan-favorite yellow version of the hoverchair would appear in the film.

'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' hits theatres on May 6, 2022.
