The fan-favorite show just dropped a brand new season, and there’s a handful of ways to watch it (with a catch, though).

Netflix ’s big hit Cobra Kai is back again, offering its fans another portion of nostalgia with all The Karate Kid vibe that the sequel series revived after the original movie hit the screens back in the 1980s.

Having dropped only a part of its new season several days ago, Cobra Kai has yet a long way to go, with two more installments coming in November and sometime in 2025.

Throughout the years of its run, the series has become a titbit for many streaming platforms that fought hard to get their hand on an extremely successful show of YouTube origin, but there’s still an issue for those desperate to check out Cobra Kai’s new season without a Netflix subscription.

Launched back in 2018, Cobra Kai holds 6 seasons so far, yet the latest installment was divided into 3 parts, with the first one dropped on streaming on July 18.

The show initially kicked it off with no attachment to any of the world’s leading streaming services whatsoever and, despite having received numerous offers from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, it went straight to YouTube, remaining there with the first two seasons.

Things changed radically in 2021, when Netflix got what it always wanted and acquired the rights to stream Cobra Kai’s next installments on its platform.

Since then, the show has had the streaming giant as its constant home, with more future seasons also landing on Netflix if there’s no other change in that by then.

How Can You Watch Cobra Kai Without Netflix?

The good news is that Cobra Kai is indeed available for streaming on other platforms — the bad news is that it doesn’t apply to all seasons of the show. Since Netflix is so far the only one to legally helm Cobra Kai, all of its installments can be easily checked out by the streaming’s viewers at any time.

However, other services like Fandango at Home or Apple TV+ also have something to offer, yet their collections are limited to Cobra Kai season 1 and season 1 and 2, respectively.

Considering that both streaming platforms also require a certain fee for having an opportunity to watch Cobra Kai season 1 or 2, those who wouldn’t like to limit themselves to only the first two seasons might want to consider getting a Netflix subscription after all.
