The long awaited season 2 of the hit show may bring some changes to the plot.

Squid Game became the smash hit on Netflix in an instant. And there’s no wonder why: the plot of the show is so fascinating and captivating that you can’t help but binge watch the whole season in one night.

Season 1 of the show ended in 2021, and since that moment the fans of the show had been wondering what future awaits the characters of the show who managed to save their lives.

Many theories started to evolve in the fandom, with the main one being about Front Man and his connection to the rest of the characters. Of course, here we are talking about his brother, Hwang Jun-Ho in the first place.

The thing is that Netflix confirmed the actor’s Wi Ha-joon returning to the show. So it means that he would survive after his brother shot him in the arm. And that only proves that Front Man didn’t really want to kill Jun-Ho.

“To me, it was pretty clear he was trying to save him. He specifically requested that no one shoot him and to bring him alive if they caught him. When the cop made it clear he would not comply with the Front Man's instructions and surrender peacefully, he shot him. The shot was calculated”, Redditor miss_lulu1 said.

Another part of the theory is Front Man's connection to Seong Gi-Hun. This means that he might actually be the key to Player 456's revenge plan in season 2.

Since he didn't really want to kill his brother, maybe he also resents the game-runners and is willing to take down the evil empire.

The release date for Squid Game season 2 has not been set yet. Plenty of time to theorize even more, huh?
