Chris Hemsworth Is Up For Another Thor Movie, But On One Condition Only
Fans would surely appreciate the thought too.
If there is one thing MCU fans are known for, it is the inability to let go of certain franchises. After Marvel Studios threw a curveball at its fanbase by first ending Chris Evans ' run as Captain America and then the Avengers in a way we already know and love, people are still extremely unhappy about it.
However, not everything is changing and not everyone is leaving. Chris Hemsworth, for example, still hasn't tired of playing Thor 12 years after his first solo movie came out, and he's always willing to come back for another one if the studio and the audience want him to.
While the actor is very open to the idea of bringing Thor 5 to the big screen, he admits that there is one condition he would like to see met if they are going to do it: the movie shouldn't be a simple repetition of what they have already shown.
“If an audience wants to see it, and if there's something that we believe is exciting and fun, then great. I've loved being able to reinvent that character a few times. I don't have the answer yet, but I would love to try and [figure out] how we can do that again and keep it a little unpredictable,” the actor said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
It's safe to say that the character was reinvented and reintroduced in a whole new light with his third film, Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi.
The film was a huge success and allowed Thor to shine not only as someone insanely strong and powerful but also as someone full of humor.
Reinventing the character for a third time seems like a tall order, but not entirely impossible. Whether or not Marvel Studios would choose to do so as part of their strategy to evolve the universe is the harder question to answer.
