Every person in their 30s probably has a list of old movies that they remember with fondness and an anti-list filled with scenes that rocked their world in a bad way, possibly leading to nightmares and ill-timed questions.
Here's our anti-list that consists of the movies and shows that traumatized us in one way or another.
If we're talking about Gen X, then we're talking about the generation that had a TV as their main source of home entertainment.
For quite some time the kids that came home from school were all alone before their parents came back from work and could not moderate the content they were exposing themselves to so they regularly stumbled upon things that were not catered towards them.
What's even more disturbing is that even the movies and shows that were created for kids were not very sensitive and portrayed some topics in a very concerning way.
Some of us still get hit by a memory of The Brave Little Toaster fighting for its life in the wilderness, and it happens in these anxious moments right before falling asleep, successfully derailing our sleep schedules. And stylistic choices in some of these shows were just creepy albeit high-tech.
