There can be many reasons to stop watching your once favorite show. But we are sure that the most common one is being annoyed with a character.

Chicago Fire is an NBC drama, the first one from the Chicago franchise.

The show explores the lives, both professional and personal, of the firefighters, rescue personnel, and paramedics of the Chicago Fire Department. The series premiered in 2012, and now there are 11 seasons of the show.

Throughout the series, some of the characters managed to bore the fans so much that they are even ready to drop the show. In Chicago Fire, the character that has enough power to make someone do that is Stella Kidd.

"I actually stopped watching this season because it just felt like the show was becoming "Chicago Stella." Sadly, it doesn't sound like I'm missing much," Reddit user ljpwyo confessed.

Most Reddit users are united in a thought that Stella is a terrible character, and her presence is a big mistake for the show. Sure she is a qualified specialist, but her personality is a dark spot, they believe.

"I'm sorry to those that do but I just can't stand Kidd! No disrespect to her firefighting and leadership abilities but her holier than thou attitude, constant jealousy, and the way the corners of her mouth turn down when she smiles just get on my nerves whenever she's on screen," Reddit user Weird_Helicopter_550 said.

Still, some of the fans try to defend her somehow, saying that it's not entirely her fault that she is such an annoying person. Being close to somebody else (worse than her) made her like that.

"Her main storyline for this entire season has been Carver and his storyline is so bad IMO. I think he is a bland, boring, useless character. That's being written so badly and his storyline is so closely tied to Stella that it drags her down.

Nothing is wrong with Stella as a character because up until now, she's been written very well IMO and has a good foundation that a lot of people like. It's just that this VERY LONG and boring storyline of Carvers is making people turn on her," Reddit user tucfang said.

Well, maybe we all should give Stella a break then and hate Carver instead? Sounds only fair.
