One of the first tragic moments in the show that hits hard.

We know Chicago Fire as a show full of drama. Well, that's inevitable when the show is about a fire department that saves the lives of hundreds of people.

The show's pilot introduced fans to the brave firefighter Andy Darden within the first few minutes, only to kill him right off. His death had a significant impact on the fans as well as the characters of the show.

Fans realized that no one was safe in this new show and that they would have to sit on the edge of their seats every episode wondering who would be the next to die tragically.

Talking about the characters, Darden's death really caused a beef between two of them who would soon become series' regulars, Matt Casey and Kelly Severide. The thing is, Darden was one of their best friends.

And he died because he entered the attic of a house through a window against Casey's orders. But because the Squad hadn't ventilated the fire yet, a backdraft occurred. That's what killed Andy.

Since then, the ongoing discussion is taking place among the fans, whose fault it actually was?

"I think they all contributed to Darden's death. Squad, I'm pretty sure, was told to vent but Severide just never did it. Casey should've never let Darden go through the window since he wasn't sure if Squad even vented.

He asked over the radio or something but never got a response. Darden should have never gone through the window because he also didn't know if Squad vented," Redditor less-can-8901 said.

A lot of fans have the same thought. Because it seems like everyone who was in the middle of that particular situation did something wrong that actually led to such tragic circumstances.

Still, there are some more cruel fans who try to blame Andy for being full of himself for working against order.

Well, that's partially true, but in a scenario like this, there's never just one person to blame.
