Chicago Fire Fans Still Fuming Over Most Hated Female Lead (Although She's No Longer There)
Sometimes, the characters that are no longer involved in the show still manage to get fans riled up.
This is about Chicago Fire 's Gabriela Dawson, who is apparently the show's most hated character of all time.
She was introduced in season 1 of the series and was kept as a lead character until season 6. Then she made one-time appearances in seasons 7 and 8.
Still, that was enough to gain a certain reputation from the very beginning. Fans find her absolutely overbearing and accuse her of paying no respect to her partners "either in their opinion or their right to be involved at all" in her life.

Almost every storyline that she was connected to was toxic, according to fans.
"Like how she was literally lusting after and hoping for the downfall of Casey's relationship when she is nothing but a coworker at that point. Even when they did break up she acted like she still owned him and had a say in his actions," Reddit user CJaneNorman said.
Fans thought it was evil when she tried to seduce an engaged man. And after she completed the mission, she used him just like she wanted.

Actually, that's one of the other things that annoyed the fans: her absolute indifference to other people's opinions, and that goes not only for her family. According to fans, no one and nothing else mattered to her.
It seems that there is one thing to blame: Chicago Fire's haphazard writing that failed to provide Gabriela with any particular purpose or a decent character arc.
"Yeah she definitely wasn't my favorite. It's like they wanted to portray a strong female, but just ended up with a pushy know-it-all that couldn't manage to figure out how to respect other people's feelings, views or opinions," Reddit user Meganw8613 said.
Needless to say, fans were absolutely thrilled that she was "sent" to Puerto Rico to help provide medical care to those in need.
