They think they see a pattern, and it all leads to her leaving the show.

Chicago Fire, an American drama TV series created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, has been around for quite some time now, lasting for 11 seasons, so naturally some of the actors left the show and their characters were replaced.

Such was the case with Leslie Shay, portrayed by Lauren German, who was replaced by Sylvie Brett, played by Kara Killmer, after the second season of the show.

But now some fans feel that it might be Brett's turn to disappear from the show. They cite several reasons to suspect this turn of events.

First of all, Kara Killmer has been on the show for almost a decade now, and as many young actors do after accumulating enough credits, she might leave the show to try her hand at something more substantial.

This is also supported by the fact that the writers don't seem to be really invested in her character, as Brett's storylines don't build up to anything significant in the future.

The fact that ParaMedicine can go on without her would be a testament to its success, and there's a new boyfriend that seems to have been shoehorned in just to show that Brett isn't very happy with him.

Also, she still does not seem to be over Casey, played by Jesse Spencer, and with no indication that he will return to the show, fans are left to believe that this is all leading up to Brett returning to him off-screen and leaving the plot.

There is even a replacement for her, as Violet Mikami, portrayed by Hanako Greensmith, has emerged as a capable paramedic and is ready to take Brett's place.

"Yeah, I've had it in the back of my mind pretty much all season that the writers might be preparing to write off Sylvie Brett sometime in the near future. Let's face it, she really hasn't had any decent storylines this season. [...]

I love Brett, and it would make me really sad not to see her anymore, but as long as the writers don't give her character a s****y send off, I would be happy because she's had a really good run," Reddit user gato_go_meow said.

Episode 19 of Chicago Fire season 11 is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2023.
