Want to spice up your show? Break up a couple.

Chicago Fire season 11 recently aired its final episode and has already generated a lot of buzz.

Well, it's not news that the finale of any show almost always has a plot twist or two to keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the next season. This was the case with Chicago Fire.

With one of their many romantic storylines the writers managed to divide the fandom into two groups. Yes, we are talking about Sylvie and Dylan's break up at the end of the season, which was both unexpected and predictable.

The thing is, Sylvie has never had much luck in the romance department on the show, and things have only gotten more complicated lately with her looking into the possibility of adopting a child.

But it wasn't just the potential adoption that drove a wedge between the two of them.

And it was not helping them as Dylan himself noticed recently that the way she has been focused on the adoption process just proves that they were on different pages right now.

And what's more, he pointed out that "The last time Matt was here, you went MIA for a while. And even when we were together, you weren't all there. It's pretty obvious that you're not over him."

Well, it's not unusual that after that, Dylan would get a huge part of fandom in his corner, defending him and siding with him. They are confident that he should have never even settled for Sylvie in the first place.

The rest of fans are sure that it is Sylvie who is better alone than with Dylan by her side.

Twitter users shared an agreement in that thought and commented a lot that they are happy that their break up will end Dylan's character screen time on the show.

The fans actually are sure that their beloved female character is not going to be alone for too long. As he himself mentioned that Matt still matters for her, Casey's return in the season's finale is just right on time.

So we'll just wish them luck in a potential new run!
