Check Out How Creepy Girl From The Ring Looks Today at 32
Daveigh Chase, who brought the horror icon Samara Morgan to life, has completely moved away from her famous look.
It is quite common for child stars to change over the years and become unrecognizable from the roles that made them famous in the first place. One such case seems to be Daveigh Chase, who portrayed Samara Morgan in 2002's The Ring.
Starring in an American remake of Hideo Nakata's 1998 Japanese psychological supernatural horror film Ring, she was only 12 years old when she took on the look of the iconic long-haired ghost child.
Though it was not her breakout role, she had previously voiced Lilo Pelekai in Lilo & Stitch: The Series that same year, it was the role of Samara that brought her fame, even earning her the Best Villain award at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards for her performance.
Her other notable appearance was in the critically acclaimed 2001 film Donnie Darko, where she portrayed Samantha, the sister of the titular protagonist.
Although the film was only a remake of a Japanese classic, it arguably became even more famous than the original, creating a new franchise.
Samara became a horror icon, with countless parodies and tributes appearing on big and small screens over the years, including Scary Movie 3, a 2003 American parody film based in part on The Ring.
Samara also became the basis for the character of Alma Wade from the F.E.A.R. video game series (2005-2011), although it is debated whether her character is based on the Japanese original or an American remake.
However, after all the newfound fame, Daveigh's career began to decline after she got into trouble with the law, which is unfortunately quite common for the child actors.
Several years earlier, the actress shared her new glamorous look that is pretty far away from the nightmarish creature she portrayed in the iconic horror movie.
However, she disappeared from the public eye and hasn't posed on social media since 2017, when she was charged after allegedly taking a stolen car for a joyride.
Just a year later, she was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Soon after, she was arrested again in 2019. So far, little is known about her personal life, as she has disappeared from social media.
