Channing Tatum Went A Bit Too Far To Get Cast In Tarantino's Movie
The best way to secure a role in Tarantino's movie is apparently threatening…
Channing Tatum, the charismatic Hollywood icon, has risen from humble beginnings to become one of the most sought-after actors of his generation.
With his versatility and undeniable talent, he seamlessly transitions between action films, heartfelt dramas, and dance extravaganzas.
It seems like Tatum is the kind of actor that any director would wish to have in their movie. However, it is not like that with Quentin Tarantino. To get in his movie, Channing Tatum had to try really hard.
The movie in question is 2015 The Hateful Eight, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Walton Goggins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Demián Bichir, and others.
Channing Tatum was like a kid in a candy store when he found out about the opportunity to star in Quentin Tarantino's movie. He was so enthusiastic that he took extreme measures to secure the role.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Tatum revealed his hilarious tactics: believe it or not, he actually started sending threatening emails to his fellow actors, hoping to scare them away and praying that no one else would dare challenge him for the role.
The actor couldn't help but express his sheer delight that Quentin Tarantino didn't consider heavyweight champions like Mike Tyson for the role, as his emails challenged actors to intense, brutal fights just to have the privilege of working with the renowned director.
What a genius move, right?
Tatum was filled with excitement to join the cast of Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.
However, he couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive due to the fact that most of the actors had previous experience working with Tarantino, while he was a complete newcomer.
The only familiar face for Tatum on set was Samuel L. Jackson, with whom he had worked before.
The actor was warmly welcomed by the cast members, and it really boosted his confidence during the shoot as he never expected to get the role at all.
Even though Tatum's role as the gang leader Jody Domergue was not really big, he absolutely nailed it, and Quentin Tarantino certainly didn't regret taking him in.
