Celebrities Whose Parents You Never Knew Were Famous
It is no news that many famous people have been so for generations.
Many a celebrity, however, prefers to conceal their kinship with renowned parents in order to be free from their shine. Here are some celebrities whose parents you might not know.
Kate Hudson And Goldie Hawn
Kate Hudson, who played in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), Bride Wars (2009), Glee ( 2012-2013), Mother's Day (2016), and Glass Onion (2022), is apparently (or a-parent-ly) the daughter of Goldie Hawn whose list of works includes The Sugarland Express (1974), Shampoo (1975), Foul Play (1978), Seems Like Old Times (1980), and Private Benjamin (1980), but you might know her from classics Death Becomes Her (1992) and The First Wives Club (1996) as well as more recent Snatched (2017), The Christmas Chronicles franchise.
Louisa Jacobson And Meryl Streep
Louisa Jacobson, the star of The Gilded Age by HBO, is a daughter of Meryl Streep's, one of the most famous and critically acclaimed actresses of our times.
Her work list comprises the above-mentioned Death Becomes Her (1992), The Devil Wears Prada ( 2006), the Mamma Mia! franchise, Julie & Julia (2009), The Iron Lady (2011), Into The Woods (2014), and Little Women (2019). Indeed, the two look very much alike.
O'Shea Jackson Jr. And Ice Cube
O'Shea Jackson Jr., whose filmography lists Straight Outta Compton (2015), Godzilla: King Of Monsters (2019), and the recent Cocaine Bear (2023), is the oldest son of O'Shea Jackson Sr., better known under his professional name Ice Cube, rapper, producer, and actor famous for his roles in the XXX franchise.
Apart from bearing the same name, the father and son bear so much resemblance that it is no wonder the latter portrayed the former in his biopic.
Dakota Johnson And Melanie Griffith/Don Johnson
Dakota Johnson, best known for playing the main character in the Fifty Shades franchise and the recent family drama film The Lost Daughter (2021), turn out to be the daughter of the actress Melanie Griffith (Buffalo Girls (1995), Lolita (1997), and Another Day in Paradise (1998)) and actor Don Johnson (Django Unchained (2012) and Knives Out ( 2019)).
The mother and daughter also played together in the movie The High Note (2022), along with the already mentioned O'Shea Jackson Sr.
The apple never falls far from the tree, they say. Well, these definitely don't.
